Despite the weakness in the construction industry, especially in Germany and Austria, many serial timber construction companies report satisfactorily or well-filled order books. In recent years in particular, substantial investments have been made in expanding production capacities. Last year, for example, two large production facilities for prefabricated elements and building modules were put into operation in northern Germany. The commissioning of yet another flagship project, in the south of the country, is scheduled for April.
