In the first three months of 2020, Germany recorded its highest pellet production in a first quarter.

In the first quarter, German pellet production amounted to 741,000 tons. This is according to the German Wood Fuel and Pellets Association (DEPV). It is the biggest quantity ever produced in a first quarter. In 2019, a total of 650,000 tons were produced in the first three months. Production thus increased by 14%. From January to March 2018, the DEPV reported a quantity of 585,000 m³.

So far, the biggest quantity of pellets produced in one quarter was recorded in the fourth quarter of 2019 with 752,000 tons.
