The pellet mill has 15 employees and was operated by Bergs’s subsidiary Bitus. As part of the asset deal, JRS acquires all assets related to the business and has confirmed that all employees of the pellet mill are offered continued employment.

JRS specializes in the production and sale of cellulose-based products and employs more than 4,000 people at its 90 production sites and branches worldwide. JRS’s subsidiary EC Bioenergy is one of the leading pellet producers in Germany. According to JRS’s CFO Nils Gersonde, the acquisition will offer the group many new opportunities for growth.
