On June 10, the average German pellet price is at €255.5/t. Month on month, the price has fallen by 3.1%. Year on year (June 10, 2023: €388.4/t), a decrease of 34.2% is recorded. Three years ago, in 2021, wood pellets cost on average €196.1/t in Germany.

According to heizpellets24.de, prices range from €246.9/t in Bavaria to €272.85/t in Saarland. Buyers pay €248/t in Hesse, €248.9/t in Thuringia and €250.2/t in Saxony-Anhalt.

Apart from Saarland, the highest prices are paid in North Rhine-Westphalia (€286.3/t), Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (€265.1/t) and Lower Saxony (€265/t).

According to heizpellets24.de, wood pellets are cheapest in the wider Munich area (€240/t) and most expensive in the greater Cologne area (€272/t). Furthermore, a gap in pellet prices can be observed between the north and the south of the country.
