In Austria, the neutral pellet price (without VAT, transport and handling costs) is at €215.1/t in August. Compared to July, it increased slightly by €1.1/t. Compared to August 2023, however, the pellet price fell by €91.2/t or 30%.
In Germany, the neutral pellet price fell by another €2.2/t and is now at €191.3/t. In August last year, buyers still paid €279.4/t. Since then, a decrease of €88.1/t or 32% was recorded.
The Swiss neutral pellet price is at the level recorded in Germany in August 2023, that is at €279/t. Month on month, pellets have become €11.3/t more expensive in Switzerland (July: €267.7/t). Year on year, the price has fallen by €54/t or 16% (August 2023: €333/t).
