According to SCA’s year-end report, the group closed 2024 with net sales of SEK 20.2 billion (€1.8 billion). This corresponds to a 12% increase compared to 2023 (SEK 18.1 billion or €1.64 billion).

At SEK 5 billion (€455 million), the operating profit is also considerable and increased by 3.5% compared to 2023. Furthermore, the company’s annual report shows a very profitable EBITDA margin of 35%. While SCA is still below the peak years of 2021 and 2022 (with just under 50% EBITDA margin), this latest figure clearly surpasses margins recorded in the period from 2017 to 2020.

Earnings per share of the listed company remained nearly unchanged compared to 2023, falling only slightly from SEK 5.23 to SEK 5.18 (€0.47). The dividend increased slightly by SEK 0.25 to SEK 3.00 (€0.27).

With 2.7 million hectares of forests in Sweden and the Baltic states, SCA is the largest private forest owner. Almost half of its total EBITDA are generated in this sector, followed by revenues from the pulp business (24% share) and the wood segment (13%).
