Britain's biggest pallet manufacturer, Scott Group, has announced it will take over UK-based HLC, reported ttjonline.com. HLC operates three production facilities with automated systems in Burton-on-Trent, Needham and Peterborough. In the future, these sites will increase the capacity of the Scott Group. The acquisition was done to further increase customer satisfaction and the security of supply, a company spokesman said.

Scott pallets and HLC will do business alongside each other as part of the Scott Group. The merger is intended to solidify the group’s market strength and provide access to the continental European market.
