Beech sawn timber exports fell by 7.5%

As in the months before, China remained the number one export market for German beech sawn timber with 15,000 m³. This is according to Destatis, exports to the US fell by 13.1% to 5,400 m³, whereas those to Mexico rose by 12.7% to 4.400 m³.

In January, Germany shipped 1,400 m³ of beech sawn timber, i.e. 52.7% less, to Vietnam. Nearly the same volume was sold in France (-15.5%).
