Sawn timber price index down again

The Swedish producer price index for softwood sawn timber continued to fall in January.

In January 2020, the Swedish sawn timber price index was at 104.4% (base: 2015 = 100%). Compared to the previous month, it fell by 0.6 points. Compared to the same month of 2019, the index saw a decrease of 10.3 points.

In January 2018, the index value was at 105% and thus at a similarly high level. In the same period of 2017, it was at 99.7%. Data are collected by Statistics Sweden.
