Founded in 1985, Lucidyne offers scanning and optimization solutions for the timber industry in all of North America. This takeover expands the product ranges and the international presence of both companies. According to Microtec, the most important factor is that the two most advanced technologies and teams are brought together.
Microtec’s headquarters will remain in Bressanone/IT, while Lucidyne’s operations will remain in Corvallis/US. Furthermore, no changes to staffing, customer support, plant operations or customer interaction are expected. Customer support will continue to be the top priority, as Microtec emphasizes.
Apart from Microtec, Woodeye and Finscan, which are part of the Springer group, also operate in the field of scanning technologies for the timber industry.
