“Slowdown”: only € 14 more within one week

According to Madison’s Lumber Reporter, the price of 2-by-4 SPF (KD) #2&better is currently at 948 US-$/1000 bft which is a 2% rise compared to the week before. Other assortments, however, saw more marked increases.

European suppliers make around 524 €/m³ free US coast. This is 14 €/m³ more compared to the end of August, while an increase of 280 €/m³ is recorded year on year.

Holzkurier’s records go back to 2006 (see Datacube). In them, one can see that September is usually a time of falling prices. This year, everything is different, though.
