Deliveries to the USA after eight months were also below the previous year's figures – at 1.6 million m3 compared to 1.7 million m3 in the previous year. This corresponds to a decrease of 3%. Other important target countries also recorded declining volumes this year: France (540,000 m³, –7%), Austria (540,000 m³, –18%), the Netherlands (460,000 m³, –16%) and Belgium (415,000 m³, –23%).

Italy has been one of the few exceptions, as the country has imported more sawn timber so far this year. The numbers increased by 6% to 377,000 m3. Increased exports to India (305,000 m3, +24%) and Taiwan (160,000 m3, +36%) were particularly impressive. All figures are from Destatis.
