This year, the trade fair was more international, with exhibitors coming from 58 countries, compared to 49 countries in 2023. In addition to the number of participating countries, the international share of exhibitors also reached a new record high of 52%. This was also confirmed by the exhibitors who reported a significant increase in the international audience.

For the first time in the more than 60-year history of the Bau trade fair, the share of international companies exceeded 50%, as the trade fair organizer informs. Alongside Germany, Italy, China, Turkey, Austria, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, the Netherlands and Greece were the most strongly represented countries when it comes to exhibitors. The share of international visitors was 44%, compared to 40% at the previous edition. In addition to Germany, the top visitor countries included Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Turkey, Romania, China, the Czech Republic, Spain and Croatia.

“Initially, expectations for the Bau 2025 were subdued due to the economically challenging environment. However, the turnout of exhibitors and visitors is clearly positive,” Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, Managing Director of Messe München, explains.

The next Bau trade fair will take place in Munich from January 11 to 15, 2027.
