Panel machinery provider Dieffenbacher, Eppingen/DE, has approved a cost reduction program aimed at saving a total of € 25 million over the next two years. A company statement refers to the presently flagging global economy, major projects being located in crisis regions such as Russia and higher-than-expected development costs for innovations such as pellet systems or carbon fiber technology as being the main reasons for the move.

Necessary restructuring will primarily take place at foreign sites. The decision was taken to reduce personnel numbers by approximately 100 associates across the Asian and North American sites.
