Strong growth in European laminate sales in Russia

For the members of the Association of European Producers of Laminate Flooring (EPLF), Russia is the most important market in Eastern Europe. In 2021, this market saw further strong growth of 16.24%. Last year, 38% of the laminate flooring produced by EPLF members was sold to Russia.

In 2021, a total of 53.6 million m² of laminate flooring was sold to Russia. This is according to the presentation of Ruben Desmet, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the EPLF and Chairman of the Markets and Image Committee, at the EPLF’s annual press conference which was held virtually on February 25. The EPLF member thus achieved an enormous increase of 16.24% compared to the year before. In 2020, 46 million m² were shipped to Russia and in 2019, 44 million m² of European laminate flooring was sold there.
