In January and February 2024, Germany exported 397,000 m³ of chipboards and OSB. As Destatis reports, exports had totaled 317,000 m³ in the same period of last year.
Main trading partner Poland received 91,500 m³ of chipboards and OSB in the first two months of this year, recording an increase of 81%. France is Germany’s second most important foreign market for chipboards and OSB and increased its purchases by 32% to 35,000 m³. A strong upward trend can also be observed in shipments to Italy (30,000 m³; +105%) and China (13,000 m³; +82%).
Decreases were recorded in exports to Great Britain (31,000 m³; -3%), the Netherlands (27,000 m³; -4%), Austria (22,000 m³; -2%), Switzerland (19,000 m³; -2%) and Sweden (15,000 m³; -2%).
