Weak year for Italian machine manufacturers

According to preliminary data published by Acimall, Italian manufacturers of woodworking machines recorded a cumulative production value of €2.43 billion in 2024 and thus an 8% decrease compared to 2023.

2024 was characterized by a general downward trend, both in exports (€1.7 billion; -8%) and in domestic demand (€730 million; -10%). Imports, too, have decreased substantially (€180 million; -40%) compared to 2023.
