In Austria, the neutral pellet price (without VAT, transport and handling costs) is at €302.8/t in September. It has thus fallen by €3.5/t compared to previous month, thereby “cancelling” the increase recorded in August. In July, pellets cost €303.2/t. In September 2022, the Austrian pellet price was at €426.8/t and thus €124/t higher than it is now.

In Germany, pellets cost €264.6/t in September, i.e. €4.8/t less than in August when buyers paid €279.4/t. In September last year, the neutral pellet price was at €531.8/t. Since then, it has fallen by €267.2/t.

The Swiss neutral pellet price increased by €3.4/t, from €333/t in August to €336.4 in September. Year on year, the pellet price decreased by €71.3/t. The ten-year average price, which is less sensitive to currency fluctuations, rose by €2.5/t to €294.7/t, after it had fallen by €18.6/t in the month before. Year on year, a decrease of €62.3/t was recorded.
