Log price compensates for the low of previous years

In the second quarter, the Austrian spruce/fir log price index made a huge jump of 15.6 percentage points to 133.3 percentage points.

This jump has compensated for the downward trend in log prices which has been going on since 2017 as a result of the accumulation of damaged wood. The Austrian spruce/fir log price index is now only 9.4 percentage points away from the record level of the fourth quarter of 2013 (142.7 percentage points).
