70% decrease in German deliveries of log wood

From January to November, China imported 23.8 million m³ of softwood logs. According to China Customs, this corresponds to a 7% decrease compared to the same period of 2023. Main supplier New Zealand managed to keep its shipments to China stable at 16.3 million m³.

Germany remains the most important European supplier despite a massive decrease of 70%. Deliveries plummeted from 3 million m³ in the first eleven months of 2023 to only 960,000 m³ this year.
