In 2013, Italian wood machinery manufacturer Biesse massively increased operating results (EBIT) to € 18.1 million (from € 0.3 million a year earlier) on the back of net revenues decreasing by 1.2% to € 378.4 million. The Biesse Group also reduced debts by more than half to € 23.9 million. Net operating working capital, as a result, fell to a record low. Markets in North America, Asia and East Europe have seen increases of total sales shares while those for West Europe, South America and Africa fell.

Also for the year running, Biesse managers are confident poised by an order intake which increased by 7.8% to € 313 million in 2013 compared to the prior year. Until 2016, they intend to step up the EBIT’s margin on revenues from 4.8% to 10.1%.
