Sawmill sales up month-on-month and year-on-year

In September, sales generated by the German sawmill industry grew again. Cumulated sales of the first nine months are also much higher than last year.

In September, the German sawmill industry generated sales worth €726.5 million according to Destatis. Compared to August (€653.4 million), they were up by 11%. Year on year (September 2021: €635.2 million), sales increased by more than 14%.

From January to September, sales totaled around €6.93 billion, recording an increase of nearly 22% compared to the same period of last year when sales amounted to €5.7 billion. In comparison with the first nine months of 2020, the German sawmill industry saw its sales grow by 85%.
