Pollmeier started production of structural beech

First beech-LVL-beam rolled out of the press
On 19 February, the first beam of structural beech was produced at Pollmeier’s new laminated veneer lumber factory in Creuzburg/DE. Thus, the plant went online on schedule. Pollmeier had announced last year to start selling beech LVL in the first quarter of 2014. The total investment amounts to € 100 million. Between 150,000 and 180,000 m³/yr will be produced in Creuzburg, according to Pollmeier.
The entire binder production was planned and equipped by H.I.T., Ettringen/DE - including the Lignopress timber laminating unit which, among other locations, is also working for Nordlam, Magdeburg/DE.
