From January to November 2019, Japan imported 806,000 m³ of glulam and CLT. Imports have thus been up by 2% compared to the same period of last year.
Again, the most important supplying countries were Finland (302,000 m³; +3%), Romania (147,000 m³; +5%) and Austria (105,000 m³; -2%). Imports from Russia saw the biggest relative increase with quantities rising by 27% to 69,000 m³. Data are collected by Statistics of Japan.
