From the quality sorting of the lumber to the finished cross-laminated timber element and the respective master computer technology – Weinig will be the complete supplier of the project Holzbauwerk Schwarzwald in Besenfeld/DE. The group will deliver all automation components, planers, cross-cut saws, finger-jointing machines, joint gluing machines for longitudinal and crosswise layers and the gluing press. It is the first project for which Weinig Group will deliver all machines.
According to Weinig Group, several innovations have been incorporated into the project, which take the high level of quality and the desired flexibility of Holzbauwerk Schwarzwald into account. The first machine components are ready to be delivered this week, marking the start of the installation of the production line in Besenfeld.
In the first phase, Holzbauwerk Schwarzwald wants to produce 35,000 m³ of cross-laminated timber a year (see article “Eight new CLT production sites by 2023”).
