The price of the end product also fell sharply in July. A decrease of €100/m³ brings the price of solid structural timber to a range of €320 to €390/m³ and thus very close to the lowest level of last year. At the moment, the solid structural timber price is only €15/m³ higher than it was in December 2021.
Fresh raw wood for solid structural timber cost just over €200/m³ at the end of July, with renowned manufacturers charging around €250/m³ for dried raw wood.
The downward trend in lumber prices affects all three lumber products which are taken into consideration for the sales indicator. Compared to June, all three saw decreases of 6 to 8%. Fresh laminations for glulam have already reached a minimum of €300/m³ again, making all the increases since January 2022 a thing of the past.
