Solid structural timber: 2024 targets missed
German manufacturers significantly reduced their production last year
In 2024, German and Austrian manufacturers produced 2.98 million m³ of solid structural timber. This marks the second consecutive year of a decrease in output, which is now below the 3-million-m³-mark for the first time since 2020. Compared to the peak years of 2022 and 2023, production decreased by approximately 4%.
