Austrian manufacturer of combustion technology Kohlbach, Wolfsberg/AT, has supplied two thermal power stations with 1 MWel capacity to Linea Energia, Rovato/IT this year. Linea occurs as an engineering company that specializes in energy management – from design and construction to plant operation. The company runs plants with a total installed capacity of 70 MW (biomass, gas and hydropower).

Both in Cremona and in Rodengo, a thermal oil boiler system with main stream combustion fired with biomass went online. The installation in Cremona is fuelled especially with waste from crates and pallets. Although not officially required, the system is equipped with a special post-combustion zone and a flue gas retention time of two seconds.
